364 of 365.

I can't believe there's only one day left till 2015. It feels like just yesterday I was celebrating New Year's! 2014 went by incredibly fast, yet there was so much to it: I closed a number of old chapters and opened new ones. So this is me trying to sum it all up and remember everything I've been through this past year.

In 2014 I tried to look at familiar things from a new perspective. Paying attention to little things can be surprisingly eye-opening. It makes you cherish what you have and value what the world has to offer.

In 2014 I traveled to Istanbul with my new friends and made some amazing new memories. I looked at the Bosphorus through different 'glasses', being a year older, just a bit more experienced and a tiny bit wiser.

In 2014 my then boyfriend and I visited one of my favourite places in England, St Ives. Last time I went to St Ives was in May 2011, oh how things have changed since then. They say you should go to a place that hasn't changed at all to see if you have. I was happy to spend a day at the coast and, most importantly, get engaged, surrounded by the ocean waters.

In 2014 I graduated from probably the best university of the world.

In 2014 I got married to my soulmate. And I can't wait to spend our lives together with my husband.

In 2014 I got to wear 3 different kinds of wedding dresses. :)

In 2014 I visited a new country. Thailand was our honeymoon destination. Will definitely go back!

In 2014 I finally returned to my motherland. I didn't realise until then how much I missed it. I embraced the cold and got to introduce my husband to my family.

In 2014 I got to show someone very important where I come from. He was so brave to face the freezing cold and a completely different world, a Russian-speaking world. Now I know we can easily live in Siberia.

In 2014 I also:
  • Met some great new people.
  • Attended a Justin Timberlake concert.
  • Lived in 4 different countries.
  • Met my old friends, whom I haven't seen in years.
  • Learnt how to ride a bike.
  • Started new fitness routines.
  • Watched some interesting movies and series.
  • Changed my way of thinking about so many things.

Basically, 2014 was fruitful and full of milestones for me. I'm thankful for all the good and the bad. There's still one day left and I hope that all of you will have a fantastic last day of the year. One day might seem like nothing but it's actually 86400 seconds that can change your life. So call your loved ones, say sorry to the ones you've done wrong and be brave enough to do what you always wanted to. We never know which year is the last one for us. Make every year a year to remember.

See you in 2015!
Lots of love, Aida.
